The photographic collection, analysed in this study, is composed of seventy photographs dating back to the period between the mid-60s and 00s.
The stamps come from uncontrolled conservative conditions, which is why almost all photographs are affected by typical forms of deterioration of incorrect handling, exposure and storage. In this way, it was possible to construct a comprehensive framework of knowledge of the characteristic form of alteration and degradation of processes.
Before the analysis, it was necessary to ascribe an identification code to all prints. The code is composed of a couple of letters, which indicate the source of acquisition, and a numeric value, given to organising the photographs in chronological order.
